미래산업정책연구실, 건설기술·관리연구실, 경제금융·도시연구실 3개의 연구실과 행정·연구지원센터 1개실을 총괄한다.

기획팀은 연구원의 중장기 사업 계획 수립 및 평가 관리 등 연구원의 운영과 관련한 제반 기획 업무를 바탕으로, 현안에 부응하는 연구 과제를 발굴하고 조정하는 업무를 담당하고 있다. 더불어 국내외 유관 연구기관, 학계, 업계, 정부기관 등과의 업무를 조율하는 대외 협력, 이슈 및 현안 대응에 필요한 TF 운영 등 다양한 역할을 수행하고 있다.

산업 수요에 기반을 둔 현장 밀착 연구를 통해 발간되는 연구 결과물들을 보고서 형식으로 발간해 배포하고 있다. 아울러 건설 관련 정책과 시장 동향, 산업 정보를 요약해 온라인으로 전파하는 주간 단위의 ‘건설동향브리핑’을 제작하고 있다. 산업의 새로운 트렌드를 반영하는 기획 출판과 함께 건설단체나 건설기업의 사사 등 용역 출판사업도 겸하고 있다. 또한 각종 연구로 파생된 자료의 보관 및 배포, 대외 홍보 업무를 맡고 있다.

The Department of Industrial Policy Research evaluates and develops alternatives to ensure that major construction-related laws, systems, and government policies contribute to the development of the construction industry. It also establishes theoretical systems through micro- and macro-research about construction industry. It particularly focuses on issues in relation to construction policy and law, including national and regional construction industry policies, public procurement systems, subcontracting, fair competitiveness, production structures, and construction personnel policy, and development of alternatives and innovative solutions to address present issues and long-standing challenges. In addition, it conduct research proactively responding to upcoming changes in the construction industrial environment.

The Department of Construction Engineering and Management Research deals with diverse issues related to construction technology and safety-related policies, construction engineering and project management(CEPM), smart technologies and digital transformation, on-site productivity improvement. The department also carries out on international market and globalization strategy, corporate management of construction companies, such as finance, HR, and organization.

The Department of Economics, Finance and Urban Research is conducting researches on trends and prospects of the construction or real estate market, construction guarantee, real estate finance, related business sectors, maintenance of aged infrastructure and urban policy.

The Administrative Research Support Center performs researcher operation planning tasks, discovery and coordination of research tasks, external cooperation tasks, publicity tasks, publication, distribution, and storage of research results, and external publicity services. In addition, the budget It oversees tasks related to the operation of the institute, such as organization and operation, accounting and finance, personnel affairs and general affairs, goods and asset management, computer system operation, and security management.
