A Study on Impact of construction Investment slowdown on economy and employment

● The recent slowdown in construction investment growth has contributed to a decline in the rate of contributing to economic growth and a decline in the contribution rate to the number of construction workers.
● In the second half of 2018, Compared with the same period of the previous year, GDP growth rate will be declined 0.22%p through the 1.3% decrease of Construction investment.
● In the second half of 2018, by 1.3% of construction investment decline compared with the same period of the previous year, the number of employed workers will decline by 2.4 million, which is expected to account for 70.8% (1.7 million) of functional and simple labor unions.
● Domestic construction orders are likely to fall further in two or three years after 2018, so the negative impact of the construction industry on domestic economic growth and employment is likely to be greater than analyzed in this study.
