The Korean Government is stepping up its support for the business controlled by women every years. Regardless of all thing, the role of the company controlled by women are insignificant in Korean construction industry. One of the important reasons is that the support policies for women’s construction companies are less effective. Expanding the role of women's enterprises in the Korean construction industry will be directly linked to the revitalization of the local economy, and will also contribute to improving the public image of the construction industry. Therefore, in order to expand the role of the company controlled by women in the Korean construction industry, the effectiveness of existing support systems should be enhanced first. The major policy tasks to enhance the role of the company controlled by women in the Korean construction industry are as follows; First, In the construction sector, the ratio of quota for purchasing public institutions should be raised to 5 percent, the same as services and goods. Second, It is necessary to expand the size of the construction project to less than 5 billion won, which gives additional points to the company controlled by women in the evaluation of their credibility in the qualification examination for public works. Third, in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the supports of ICT(information & communication technology) and construction technology for construction companies controlled by women should be strengthened. Forth, The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and construction-related cooperative organizations should strengthen public relations services to raise awareness of the support system for companies controlled by women in the Korean construction industry.
