Low-rise residential areas formed in large cities since the 1980s and 1990s are rapidly deteriorating. Green remodeling is an essential project to reduce carbon emissions in old homes. Currently, the green remodeling interest support project for private buildings is being promoted focusing on apartment complexes, and is insufficient for old low-rise housing. Old low-rise housing is mainly for the common people and they have little financial capacity. Accordingly, when promoting green remodeling of old houses, it is necessary to provide incentives such as construction cost support, tax benefits, and relaxation of building regulations.
