● In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the construction industry can not be an exception as the new technology is introduced and spread. Construction companies are interested in utilizing new technologies in order to improve their productivity, but the lack of infrastructure and strategies for utilizing technology plays a limiting factor. ● This study recognizes that the subject of the new technology is the enterprise, understands the technical characteristics and digital conversion in the 4th Industrial Revolution era, and analyzes the trends of construction start-up and global construction companies. Of the total. ● Digital transformation of construction companies can be achieved through the introduction and utilization of digital construction technology. Major technologies include BIM, cloud, Internet of objects, advanced data analysis, augmented reality, virtual reality, modular, 3D printing, robotics, intelligent construction equipment and unmanned aircraft. - The goals based on the utilization of the above technologies include: (Design) development of 3D integrated model based on data; (Construction) reduction of construction cost, reduction of construction period, safety assurance; (Maintenance) increase of lifetime of buildings and maintenance cost reduction. ● In order to understand the practical applicability of digital construction technology, we analyzed the application cases of start-up and global construction companies. As a result, digital construction technology has secured applicability. Construction companies have acquired technology through start-up investment and M & A Started to apply to business. - Start-up provides most of the functions for applying digital construction technology in construction projects. For example, SkyCATCH, which provides solutions based on unmanned aerial vehicles, provides 'physical structure virtualization', 'construction automation' and 'construction monitoring' functions. - Global construction companies are engaged in internal technology development, M & A, start-up investment, collaborations with universities and research institutes to secure digital construction technologies, and applied technologies such as big data, drone, and virtual reality. ● Digital transformation through the introduction and diffusion of digital construction technology is currently under way and will induce industry innovation such as accelerating the integration of production methods, smartening of products, changes in system, policy and personnel training sytems. The following are the strategies of the construction industry and the industry to cope with this. - Construction companies should establish vision, goals and detailed strategies for digital transformation and expand strategic cooperation with technology solution companies to secure digital construction technology. In addition, a new business model that takes into account the direction of industrial innovation and a human resource management system for the role and function of existing employees should be established. - In the industrial level, related regulatory improvements and institutional support are needed to promote convergence between front and back related industries. In addition, changes in education and training systems are required to cope with changing competence demands of technical personnel. - The largest buyer in the construction market, and the government as a consumer, should concentrate on the role of helper, such as offering products that require high quality and functionality so that construction companies can utilize various digital construction technologies.
