The COVID-19 pandemic is directly or indirectly affecting the global economy and industry as well as society and culture. After this immense incident, all industries, including the construction industry, are seeing a decline in jobs, changes in the way they work and their capabilities. COVID-19 is also accelerating the digital transformation of the construction industry and the use of advanced production methods such as modularization, which will engender changes in the capabilities required in construction industry jobs. This study analyzes the impact of COVID-19 on jobs in the construction industry and presents recommendations for governments and companies regarding the future of the construction industry.
