● The construction industry has traditionally been regarded male-centered industry. However, as the production method of the construction has changed recently and women's social advancement has increased, discussions on the utilization of women in the construction industry are actively underway. ● In Particular, Japan announced "The Action Plan that women can play more actively" in August 2014 through public-private partnerships in order to solve the serious labor shortage in construction industry. ● Despite the various policies of the present government, the utilization of women in the construction industry of Korea is still very small. The reason is that there is insufficient institutional devices to support women's activities in the construction industry of Korea. ● Therefor in order to increase the participation of female worker in the construction site in Korea, construction institutions, construction site system, the consciousness and culture of field participants should be improved.
